Chelsea's Boutique

Chelsea Tracy grew up in a loving environment with a family that supported her every move. At the adventurous age of 20 years old, Chelsea opened her independently owned boutique in Chamberlain, South Dakota - Chelsea’s Boutique. Quickly gaining clientele from around the state and surrounding states, she grew out of her little store in Chamberlain. In December of 2012, Chelsea closed her store in order to move to new opportunities in Sioux Falls, SD. March 1st, 2013 Chelsea re-opened in Sioux Falls, and her boutique now sits nestled in the historic downtown district. Chelsea's Boutique has been featured on the Internet Association's Small Business Crawl, in most all media prints in Sioux Falls, in The Wall Street Journal and most recently in Google's 2014 Economic Impact Report - the only business in South Dakota to do so. Each year Chelsea’s Boutique collaborates with Dress for Success Sioux Falls and raises thousands for the organization which revolves around a night that includes the store’s most impressive solo fashion show (styleandthecity.org) The team at the boutique plans and organizes over 5 large-scale fashion shows each year which showcase the store’s forte: clothing and accessories. Collectively, the team attends market two or three times a year in places such as Atlanta, Dallas, and Los Angeles to select pieces that you’ll love. Neliana Fuenmayor is a London-based fashion designer and a sustainability consultant advocating for transparency in fashion supply chains. Neliana is a creative entrepreneur in fashion design, business and innovation; CEO & Founder of ‘ A Transparent Company’; a consultancy with an expertise in sustainable sourcing, Award winning communications strategies based on transparency for the fashion industry. Her contribution to the current industry lies on bringing a new perspective to her clients on how should sustainability be approach in current fashion supply chains and communication strategies. Not happy only with the available tools in a fast paced industry yet old-fashioned in operating systems, through her consultancy ‘A Transparent Company’ Neliana is pushing forward the boundaries of the current ways fashion operates, by looking at new technologies such as the blockchain, and how this could disrupt the way certifications cascade between suppliers in the chain of custody of a product. Currently, Neliana is consulting tech company Provenance founded by software engineer Jessi Baker, on how to approach and communicate to the fashion sector on the potential the block-chain has for the fashion industry in order to address social and environmental issues along the supply chain, from raw material all the way to customer-facing communication
