Exponential Data System cc is a young business born out of a need to develop data collection solutions that utilize limited resources and infrastructure.
The business’s approach is to combine innovation and youthful enthusiasm in overcoming data collection challenges in South Africa.
In early 2010 ,The company was involved in the Google Voice Search project undertaken by the CSIR ,resulting in an opportunity to apply informal and socially based business structures for quick and cost- effective people sourcing solutions.
Today EXPONENTIAL DATA SYSTEMS cc is focused on developing the 11 official languages of South Africa in Collaboration with the CSIR using Woefzela software.
Woefzela is the software that records and captures the respondent’s data. It is an adaption, developed by the CSIR, from the software that was used during the Google Voice Project.
Woefzela enables us to collect the voice data required by our client, the CSIR, to assist with the further development of African Languages. This is a very new area of research and development that has never before been undertaken on such a large scale.
