Remote steel cord belt monitoring is a specialty. The company provides in-house seminars to mining companies, engineering and technological services, belt failure analysis, conveyor problem analysis and design. The company commenced in USA in 1993 where the majority of work is still conducted. US and Canadian mines use the remote belt scanning technology to its fullest. Over 140 remote NDT belt scans are provided in the US annually. Australian mining companies have yet to use the technology to save considerable costs. CSIRO Mag & Grav

In 1971, Ken McCracken (then CSIRO Chief) set up the division of Mineral Physics to address geophysical exploration problems peculiar to Australia. The rock magnetism and palaeomagnetism laboratory was established to assist the Australian exploration industry in processing and interpretation of aeromagnetic data. Bowen Basin Mining Club

GROWTH THROUGH NETWORKING Established in 2010, the Bowen Basin Mining Club (BBMC) brings bi-monthly networking luncheons to regional Queensland towns with a Bowen Basin connection. These luncheons are designed to open the pipeline of communication between mine sites, suppliers and innovators in the industry. Each function hosts key industry leaders and influencers as guest speakers, bringing mining company CEOs, supply chain VPs, major contractors and new explorers outside of the office. CLUB MEMBERSHIP The BBMC is completely free to join open to all sectors of the industry from large international companies and OEM’s through to government organisations and small local businesses. Members only pay to attend each luncheon while also gaining access to the BBMC’s regular industry updates. A forum of this structure is long overdue for regional Queensland and is designed to promote healthy business relationships and foster growth within the community. It is envisaged that our events will generate new leads for companies and provide influence where perhaps they have been unable to reach before.
