Netzwerk Terrorismusforschung e. V.

The Terrorism Research Network (NTF) is a registered German Association ("eingetragener Verein"), connecting over 500 scientists, analysts and practitioners from various disciplines who deal with issues and problems in the areas of (counter)terrorism, extremism and political violence. Its mission is to connect and serve as a forum for ideas and exchanges of information, project ideas and joint projects. In addition to the web site and a mailing list, regular workshops are taking place mostly every six months. The Association understands itself as a Platform for Research, Media, Law Enforcement, Politics and other Government Bodies. It is carried by over three dozen volunteers and four board members. Fraunhofer Institute for Silicon Technology ISIT

Fraunhofer ISIT in Itzehoe is one of Europe's most modern research facilities for microelectronics and microsystems technology. The heart of the institute is the 3,000 m² cleanroom, big enough to operate not only research projects but also to produce the developed microchips in industrial scale. 150 scientists develop at ISIT in close cooperation with industrial partners power electronic components and microsystems, with fine movable structures for sensors (pressure, movement, biochemical analysis, etc.) and actuators (valves, scanners, micromirrors etc.) including the necessary electronics. These miniaturized components are used in medicine, in the environment - and traffic engineering, communication technology, automotive industry and mechanical engineering.

Arqaam

Arqaam provides contextually informed and ethical analysis that reimagines the possibility and opportunity for effective social change and inspires action. Arqaam was founded in 2017 to help improve the impact of humanitarian and development actors through better use of data. People often fear numbers and data instead of seeing the potential behind it. Arqaam works with its clients at the crossroads of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and digital development to make it more than a simple “tick the box” exercise. We support data needs so actors are able to spend less time setting up systems and more time analysing and learning from their data. For grassroots organisation with limited resources, we offer pro bono support through our M&E Capacity Support programme. Arqaam believes in providing its services in line with the 9 Principles of Digital Development. We use open source solutions and follow open data standards where possible and reinvest our own resources to support projects like a Question Library, supporting standardisation across projects and organisations. It’s our passion and at the core of why we started Arqaam to find better ways to add value to the community of practice. While doing so, Arqaam believes to in its strong ethical values.
