
Center for Turkish Studies
Center for Turkish Studies (CTRS) at Kadir Has University was established on 7 July 2011 to provide information at national and international levels about Turkish economics, politics, culture, history, language, geography, and social life by featuring Turkey’s rich historical and cultural heritage. The objective of the CTRS is to contribute economic, social, and cultural development of Turkey, and to create an environment suitable for the exchange of information among likeminded research centers, universities, and individual academics.
In order to achieve its objectives, the Center focuses on the following:
- Organizing national and international training programs, workshops, seminars, round-table meetings, and conferences in the field of its research areas by cooperating with other stakeholders within and outside the University,
- Conducting regular research, public surveys, and similar work on Turkey’s social, political, economic, and cultural life; contributing to research done by other institutions, and sharing research outputs with stakeholders,
- Cooperating with other research centers at Kadir Has University in pursuit of interdisciplinary activities,
- Developing new national and international research projects in its field of research, and contributing to ongoing projects by partner institutions,
- Creating a network among institutions and individual academics focusing on research related to Turkey,
- Promoting better understanding of Turkey’s social, political, economic, and cultural development both in national and international levels by conducting research and sharing knowledge with the wider community
