ABCD: Art Building Children's Dreams

We raise funds to help children in developing areas complete their education. ABCD Canada is a Canadian charity that raises funds to help children in rural Tanzania. ABCD Australia is an International Project of the Rotary Club of Templestowe, Melbourne, and raises funds to help children in Asia-Pacific. The vision of ABCD: Art Building Children’s Dreams is a world where vulnerable children can achieve their dreams. Mission Statement: ABCD: Art Building Children’s Dreams aims to inspire and empower disadvantaged children, families and communities to help themselves through education and collaborative community development.

Association étudiante en développement international et action humanitaire (AÉDIAH)

Créée en 2005, l'Association étudiante en développement international et action humanitaire (AÉDIAH) représente les étudiant.e.s du programme de M. Sc. en Gestion du développement international et de l'action humanitaire (GDIAH) de la Faculté des sciences de l'administration de l'Université Laval (FSA ULaval). Ses valeurs sont avant tout celles de ses membres désireux d'évoluer professionnellement dans le domaine du développement international et de l'action humanitaire (DIAH). Nous souhaitons participer activement à la professionnalisation du domaine du DIAH en organisant des formations pertinentes et en favorisant un cadre de concertation entre les différents acteurs et actrices du milieu par l'entremise de nos activités. L'AÉDIAH participe également à la campagne de financement de ses membres grâce à son Fonds d'entraide en développement international et action humanitaire (FEDIAH) qui organise diverses activités permettant de financer les stages professionnels de fin d'études. Les fonds sont gérés de manière collective et la redistribution est effectuée selon un calcul prenant en compte l'implication individuelle (équité individuelle) et le travail de tous les membres (équité collective).

Canadian Friends of the Israel Guide Dog Center for the Blind

Mission To enable blind and visually impaired Israelis, regardless of race, religion, to achieve independence, mobility and self-esteem through working partnerships with guide dogs. Company Overview The Israel Guide Dog Center for the Blind was created 23 years ago by Norm Leventhal from Philadelphia and Noach Braun from Israel. It is located 20 minutes south of Tel Aviv at Beit Oved. Description Since the Center was founded we have facilitated almost over 450 partnerships throughout Israel. Our breeding dogs, living with families, provide most of our puppies, though some have been donated by generous colleagues in the International Guide Dog Federation. In the last four years Canada has provided us with three puppies. Our pups are then raised by foster families all over Israel, including university student at Ben Gurion, Bar-Ilan, and Hebrew Universities. General Information Our guide dogs and services are provided free-of-charge. The total cost of a guide dog Partnershiip, from the moment of the pup's birth until it retires, is over $25,000. The cost to sponsor a puppy as a Mitzvah Project is just $1000. The Canadian Friends of the Israel Guide Dog Center for the Blind is a registered non-profit organization supported entirely by donations and bequests from individuals, foundation, companies and organizations that believe in our mission.
