We believe that the industry has been standing still for too long – technological advancements can been seen all around us, yet the procurement of greens in our kitchens hasn’t changed much in the last decades. Our team is driven by the dreams to lessen our environmental impact, and the reality to make it better. By adopting a sustainable lifestyle, and increasing our understanding about growing healthy food and making it accessible to each and everyone – together we can begin our journey of becoming urban farmers.

Ackerhelden GmbH

Die Ackerhelden sind ein junges Unternehmen aus Essen, dem Herzen des Ruhrgebiets und wurden Ende des Jahres 2012 von Birger Brock und Tobias Paulert gegründet. Wir denken, dass es an der Zeit ist, die Menschen regional und emotional wieder näher an das heran zu bringen, was sie täglich essen. Deshalb kannst Du bei den Ackerhelden biozertifizierte, mit verschiedenen Gemüsesorten vorbepflanzte Ackerstücke mieten, auf denen Du zwischen Mitte Mai und Ende November frisches Biogemüse ernten, neu säen, pflanzen und mit den eigenen Händen ackern kannst. Aus unserer Sicht geht dieses Konzept zwingend Hand in Hand mit zertifizierter ökologischer Landwirtschaft und ist für uns in Verbindung mit konventionellem Anbau nicht denkbar. Schließlich isst Du nicht nur, was Du erntest, sondern Du arbeitest auf Deinem Acker mit Deinen Händen in der Erde. Fändest Du es dann gut, wenn die mit Pestiziden, Herbiziden und chemisch-synthetischem Dünger getränkt wäre? Na also... Deshalb bieten wir ausschließlich Flächen an, die nach den Richtlinien der Anbauverbände Bioland, Demeter oder Naturland bewirtschaftet werden und entsprechend zertifiziert sind. Das bedeutet: keine giftigen Pestizide und Herbizide sowie keine chemisch-synthetischen Dünger. Die Ackerhelden sind übrigens der einzige Selbsternte-Anbieter, der bundesweit echt bio bietet! Chegworth Valley Juices

Chegworth Valley is a family owned and run fruit farm situated in the heart of the Kent countryside, established in 1983 by the Deme family. The farm today covers over 200 acres growing more than 20 varieties of apples and pears, along with a wide range of soft fruit, vegetables, salad and herbs. We hand-select the fruit when perfectly ripe, giving our juices the best flavour possible and ensuring superior quality from blossom to bottle. Chegworth Valley supplies juice & fresh produce to independent farm shops, delis, restaurants, cafes and hotels as well as supplying direct to our customers at farmers' markets throughout London & Kent.

D Acres of New Hampshire

D Acres of NH is a non-profit organic permaculture farm, hostel and educational homestead. We host a variety of well attended workshops, lectures and events throughout the year, including our annual internationally recognized Permaculture Through the Seasons Design Certification Course. We have successfully created a hub for social and multigenerational community interaction through monthly food and music events. Our Mission Statement: D Acres is an educational center that researches, applies and teaches skills of subsistence living and small-scale organic farming. Within a shared living situation, individuals come to respect and share values of interdependence and love of nature. In addition, the organization supports educational activities directed toward improving the quality of life of residents and the community at large.
