The Belgian Paleontological Association (BVP) (Dutch: Belgische Vereniging voor Paleontologie vzw. French: L’association Belge de Paléontologie) Is a scientific organisation which was founded in the Antwerp area in 1977 by both professional and amateur paleontologists. The main goal of the Belgian Paleontological Association is to encourage and popularize paleontological research in Belgium. The association has around 250 members throughout Europe. Mission The main mission of the Belgian Paleontological Association is to popularize paleontology in Belgium, and at the same time contribute to paleontological research. By proposing a very diverse program of lectures and excursions and projects the association wishes to encourage anyone who is fascinated by earth sciences to contribute to scientific research through "citizen science"​. On the other hand the association also tries to create a forum where professional and academic paleontologists can present their research to the general public.

Orpheus Institute

The Orpheus Institute is an international centre of excellence with its primary focus on artistic research in music: 'research embedded in musical practice and primarily guided by artistic objectives."\\The Orpheus Institute engages\- an international team of senior, doctoral and visiting musician-researchers\- producing and promoting high quality research into music \- in a dedicated educational and research environment \- generating new knowledge in-and-through musical practice \- while keeping the artist's perspective as the starting point for research\\We host the docARTES programme for practice-based doctoral study in music, and the Orpheus Research Centre in Music, home to around 15 artist-researchers involved in advanced research. \\The close link between education and research within our facilities creates an inspiring environment where artists can experiment, exchange ideas and develop new knowledge.\\Throughout our activities there is a clear focus on the development of a new research discipline in the arts, addressing trending questions and topics at the heart of musical practice. To promote and disseminate this knowledge, the Orpheus Institute organises seminars, study days, workshops, an annual Academy and a Research Festival. All these aspects have made the Orpheus Institute what it is today: an influential driving force for new developments in artistic research and artistic practice, with an impact that is felt worldwide.

PCS (Proefcentrum voor Sierteelt) - PCS Ornamental Plant Research PCS Ornamental Plant Research is active in applied scientific research as well as more practice-oriented research and extension services, located in Destelbergen (B). Important research themes are the optimization of culture methods, growth and flowering regulation, use of energy, quality and post harvest properties of ornamental plants and research for practical utility. Environmental protection has become a very important research theme, including energy management for greenhouses and integrated pest management using beneficial insects. In this context, the PCS developed an observation and warning system for pests and diseases in nursery stock and has also a program for guided control in glasshouse cultures Recently, we also focused on closed culture systems, to ensure zero contamination of fertilizers and pesticides in the environment.

C-PlaNeT

C-PlaNeT is a consortium of high-profile universities, research institutions and companies located in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Denmark and Greece. ​ Europe needs this training network. Bringing plastics into the circular economy is one of the great challenges of our age. C-PlaNeT lays the foundations for a New Plastics Economy through a European Joint Doctoral Programme that trains 15 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) to become part of a new generation of scientists, engineers and policy makers for the EU's circular economy, which must include the design, processing, use and reuse of plastics. Each ESR, developing his/her research skills together with a supervisor and co-promoter, represents a piece of the jigsaw, at the same time benefiting from being part of a project team with 14 other ESRs and their supervisors covering other parts of the life cycle, challenging each other in terms of lifecycle thinking and a much more sustainable future for plastics.
