Farley Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation

The Farley Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation was endowed in 2008 to help evolve engineering beyond the application of the sciences to the creation of businesses that capitalize on innovations. The gift was made by the James N. and Nancy J. Farley Foundation on behalf of the late Northwestern Engineering alumnus James Farley (EE '50) and his wife Nancy. The center serves as a resource for students, faculty, and alumni from across the University.

Creative Lab Hawaii

Creative Lab Hawaii (CLH) is a State of Hawaii program composed of three separate modules: Immersive Programs, Ideation Workshops, and Public Programs. Their intention is to accelerate global export of Hawaii’s creative content and creative products to strengthen our creative entrepreneurs’ capacity for success. Founded in 2012 by the State of Hawaii’s Creative Industries Division, Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism (DBEDT), Creative Lab Hawaii provides a rich environment for creative collaboration and building new business relationships with a global audience. CLH offers public panels, workshops, and hands on coaching and mentoring by industry leaders in areas of Writing, Producing, Directing, Songwriting/Music, Technology, the Business of Acting, and Design/Fashion. The CID/State of Hawaii, CLH includes strategic partnerships with Writers Guild of America, West (WGAw), Producers Guild of America (PGA), Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), International Game Developers Association (IGDA), Film Offices of the Hawaiian Islands (FOHI), The Cut Collective, Secret Road, Hawaii Songwriting Festival and the High Technology Development Corporation (HTDC). And sponsors The Modern Honolulu Hotel and Arthur’s Limousine. Funding for CLH is provided by the Hawaii State Legislature, DBEDT and the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA), U.S. Department of Commerce.

Davidson Honors College-University of Montana

The Davidson Honors College is a national model for the reinventon of public high education; we are distinguished by our commitment to academic innovation, professional development, and our welcoming community. The Davidson Honors College is open to students of any major and provides special opportunities for students to enhance their learning and leadership skills within and outside the classroom. The Davidson Honors College: -Serves 700 talented students within UM's community of 14,000 students. -Offers Honors courses capped at 20 students per class. -Supports its students' engagement in undergraduate research. -Offers mentoring for scholarships, internships, and study abroad. -Offers student organizations and activities that engage the greater campus and enhance the Honors community.

FIU Miami Beach Urban Studios

The Miami Beach Urban Studios (MBUS) is a unique 16,000sf facility in the 420 Lincoln Road Building that hosts an interdisciplinary array of innovative exhibitions, classes, research laboratories, and events for the College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts (aka CARTA), which is comprised of the following departments: Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Architecture, Music, Art/Art History, Theatre, Journalism + Media and Communication. It also houses affiliated institutions (Sea Level Solution Center, Amernet String Quartet, ARC+, and temporarily, the Miami Urban Future Initiative, and the Ratcliffe Art + Design Incubator). MBUS houses the 3,500sf Knight-sponsored CARTA Innovation Lab, which with over 33 3D printers is one of the largest 3D printing laboratories of its kind in the United States. The lab is proud to have been selected to be a participant in the HP/EDUCAUSE Building the Campus of the Future Project. Our Massive Transformative Purpose: To investigate what it means to be human in an ever more digitized age. We are a “collider” for people and ideas in arts, design, technology and the sciences.

AccelerateKID®

AccelerateKID® teaches students grades K-8 about the latest S.T.E.A.M. (Science. Technology. Engineering. Arts. Math.) education including COMPUTER PROGRAMMING, GAME DESIGN, ROBOTICS and DIGITAL ARTS. All students also learn 21st-century skills including storyboarding, teamwork, critical and creative thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skills. We are committed to excellence in quality tech programming with our award-winning STEAM.org™ Accredited curriculum. We provide after-school programs at our own teaching facilities, in your schools or partnering with the local communities. Our mission is to prepare kids to become future creators in a fun and educational environment for the southeast Michigan area.
