We believe that we are the effective, friendly, local independent alternative to the big box gyms! Our training is suited to anyone and everyone, whether your'e a dedicated Crossfitter, an athlete, 16 years old, 60 years old, in-shape or out of shape, male or female. We strive for General Physical Preparedness, "Virtuosity in the Fundamentals", not over-specialization. We want to excel at everything. intensity WODs, or Workouts of the day, constantly vary, never letting your body settle into the plateau zone, but more importantly, keeping you GENERALLY PHYSICALLY PREPARED for any fitness challenge. Workouts go from short and sweet (under 10 min) to grueling (~30 min). mobility Mobility helps us set up better, lift and move smarter and safer, and adapt faster. Mobility is identifying, preventing, and treating movement dysfunction, and getting the most out of what we've got.

Welcome to Columbia Tae Kwon Do! With its range of professional martial arts programs, Columbia Tae Kwon Do nurtures the positive attitudes and spirits of its students while addressing each individual's distinct physical challenges. Offering classes in Tae Kwon Do and Combat Hapkido, as well as informal seminars in self-defense tactics, Columbia Tae Kwon Do services the student as a whole – body, mind and spirit – regardless of age, ability or background. All that is required is a desire to succeed!

Detroit Body Garage

A community gym located in the heart of West Village Detroit, in the historic bank building. Established May 2016, founded by retired professional triathlete Terra Castro, who moved back home to rebuild in 2014. With a bold heart, she started BE BOLD CREW: a mobile endurance racing & training team in Detroit, which grew into Detroit Body Garage. A home where the community could REBUILD TOGETHER ONE PART AT A TIME. We are a class based facility with 48 classes a week, with a monthly membership or class passes available. With a staff of 8 experienced coaches & a class size limited to 15, we provide a daily opportunity to MOVE, GROW & PERFORM both in your sport + in life. We hold a monthly community workout + potluck as well as hold community outreach events like our annual "trunk or treat" every October. We are on mission to help change the statistic of Detroit being voted "the most unhappy, unhealthy stressed out city in America" (Wallethub, 2017 and 2019)
