Nous souhaitons participer à la transformation constante de nos villes en créant un espace d'exposition à ciel ouvert, où la culture et la créativité s’insère dans le quotidien des citadins. Le collectif 1m83 offre la possibilité aux artistes d'exposer sur des bâtiments en construction ou en rénovation avec comme support d'expression des bâches de chantier. Au travers de ces oeuvres éphémères, nous offrons également un moyen innovant pour les régies et les propriétaires d'immeuble de communiquer sur leurs réalisations en cours.

Farmstead Arts Center

The Farmstead Arts Center is located on the grounds of the historic Kennedy Martin Stelle Farmstead, an on-going restoration project centered around buildings that date back to the 18th and early 19th centuries that are listed on the New Jersey and National Registers of Historic Places. The site was acquired by Bernards Township in 1999 through its open space trust and is leased to the Friends of the Kennedy Martin Stelle Farmstead. Listed on the New Jersey and National Registers of Historic Places, the Farmstead was honored with the New Jersey Preservation Award, one of the State’s highest honors for preservation and adaptive re-use and Somerset County’s Historic Preservation Award. The Friends of the Kennedy Martin Stelle Farmstead is a not for profit 501(c) 3 organization. Restoration of the buildings at the Farmstead is made possible thanks to funding from the Somerset County Historic Grant Program, the New Jersey Historic Trust and the 1772 Foundation. Farmstead Arts is an historic site dating back to before the Revolutionary War. The 1700’s farmhouse and barn are now home to a center for fine, performing and practical arts in Basking Ridge, NJ. Nestled beside the Passaic River on four acres that are part of the 40 acre Farmstead Park, the Farmstead provides the ideal environment for artists to practice their craft. Farmstead Arts offers art classes, workshops, art exhibits, theater and concerts. Local artists utilize the rooms in the historic house for individual studio space.
