The Cottages on Mountain Creek

The Cottages on Mountain Creek is a residentially based community providing housing and enhanced therapies for those living with mental illness. Programming is based on an holistic approach to care and recovery. The Cottages on Mountain Creek LLC (applied for Non-profit Status_ is an Atlanta-based residential housing facility in place to service adults aged 18 and older with serious mental illness, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. Our Mission is to promote stabilization and recovery from the effects of mental illness through therapies geared toward thinking, behavior, relationships and the ability to maintain gainful employment. Our programs are geared toward reintegration into the community while working toward the goal of allowing residents to live independently. In partnership with a clinical team, as well as families and the community, we seek to provide a comprehensive treatment program.

A Better You Wellness Center

A Better You (ABU) is a Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Center. An IOP program is a primary treatment program recommended in some circumstances by a clinical and medical assessment. IOP may be recommended for those who do not need medically-supervised detox. IOP can also enable people in recovery to continue their recovery therapies following successful detox, on a part-time yet intensive schedule, designed to accommodate work and family life.

Colorful Minds, LLC

Here at Colorful Minds, we provide Applied Behavior Analysis(ABA) therapy for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, behavioral, and developmental disorders in the clinical, school, and in-home setting . ABA is a science in which different principles are applied systematically to improve socially significant behaviors and identify variables responsible for behavior change. We implement a broad continuum of direct services throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast. This includes specialized instruction in the areas of behavior, communication, self-help skills, socialization, and play skills. In addition, it is of utmost importance that the parents or guardians are made a part of the therapy process; educational material and training are made available to them. The ABA approach is unique to each individual based on his or her initial and ongoing assessment needs; therefore, goals and treatment plans will change according to how an individual progresses.
