Automotive Manufacturers Private Limited

Automotive Manufacturers Private Limited (AMPL) was incorporated in the year 1948, under the dynamic leadership of Shri. Manubhai Sanghvi and Shri. P.P Sanghvi. The company started as main dealers of Leyland Motors, UK for marketing their products in the erstwhile states of Bombay, Hyderabad and Saurashtra. The company assembled about 2000 Leyland vehicles at its Kurla Works between 1949 and 1955. In addition to marketing, the company was also engaged in CKD assembly of Leyland vehicles till 1955, when Leyland Motors, U.K. entered into financial and technical collaboration with Ashok Leyland. In the year 1958 dealership for Mahindra& Mahindra Limited was taken. The company thereafter took up marketing of products manufactured by Ashok Leyland in the states of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat, Mahindra in Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat. In 1986 dealership for Maruti Suzuki Ltd., was taken for Maharashtra at Navi Mumbai and subsequently extended to Nagpur, Aurangabad and Nasik. Kobelco, a giant in the construction equipment sector has been added. In 2007, dealership for Audi was taken for the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited

Maruti Suzuki was established with a dream to provide the 'Joy of Mobility' in the early 1980s. With a humble start of manufacturing about 20,000 cars in a year, the Company has grown leaps and bounds, manufacturing close to 2 million cars a year in FY 2022-23. Over the last four decades, the Company has served over 27 million happy customers in India and around 100 countries of the world. It maintained its market leadership in India throughout–reflecting the Company’s obsession with creating customer delight and demonstrating its agility to adapt to the changing times. This was possible by leveraging the unique ability of Suzuki Motor Corporation (parent company) to design feature-rich, safer, environment-friendly products, delivering world-class quality at an affordable price. In FY 2023-24, Maruti Suzuki embarked on an ambitious path in terms of manufacturing scale, while simultaneously transiting towards a low-carbon path. This marks a new phase for the Company.

Uno Minda

Uno Minda Limited incepted in 1958, is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of advanced automotive technology and systems to OEMs. They design and manufacture over 25 categories of components and systems for vehicles across all segments (passenger cars, commercial vehicles, two- and three-wheelers) catering to both internal combustion engines (ICE) and electric/hybrid vehicles. It is one of the leading manufacturers of automotive switching systems, automotive lighting systems, automotive acoustics systems, automotive seating systems and alloy wheels. It has a leadership position in almost all the products it manufactures. Technology and innovation are the two strong pillars of the organisation, on the basis of which it has continued to lead the emerging trends in the automotive sector, over the past six decades. The Group is a global player in the automotive sector with 74 manufacturing facilities in India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Germany, Spain, and Mexico, as well as 37 R&D and Engineering Centres in India, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, Korea & Spain.
