About
I set up Ctruk Group to fund the build of an amphibious vehicle.
The objective: To transport me from my house on the beach at Point Clear across to Brightlingsea and my local pub. The World Famous Railway Tavern. The vehicle was launched within 3 months of starting the company and was immediately put into use!
In January 2009 I could not fail to notice that DONG was building the Gunfleet Sands Wind Farm and I wrote to them asking if we could help. They said “Yes pleaseâ€
Within the month we had purchased and modified a Blyth 10m Catamaran, recruited and trained crew, set up SHEQ systems and started the contract. One thing led to another and we formed CWind and CTruk boats. 6 years later we were in the Virgin Fast Track 100 and the London Stock Exchange: 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain. (and again in 2016)
I sold CWind and Ctruk Boats in 2016
Ctruk Group retains the design rights to the original amphibious vehicle, has a number of vessels available for charter and when time permits, is working on a Marine Leisure brand www.skillinger.com
