We manage all leisure facilities and specialist services on behalf of Northumberland County Council, including Fitness Centres, Community Sites, School Sport and Sports Development. As a Charity, we exist for community benefit and any surplus money we make is put back into our services. We are committed to helping people make healthy lifestyle choices and support the development of all physical activity across the county. Our leisure facilities encourage a physical lifestyle, our GP referral scheme is nationally recognised and we deploy teams into local schools and communities to promote a positive physical activity experience for all residents of the county.

First Steps ED

First Steps ED has been at the forefront of improving the lives of people from all ages, genders and backgrounds impacted by eating difficulties and eating disorders through the dedicated team of staff, volunteers and accredited eating disorders psychotherapists many having a lived experience. We are experts by experience, a quality-assured, research-based organisation and a leading light working as an integrated partner in the health and education environments. Founded in 2004, our compassionate team supported by a strong board of Trustees and extended network academics support our multi award winning team to support thousands of citizens, their families and professionals annually trusting us to bring hope, opportunities, and choices to lives impacted by eating difficulties and disorders. We are trailblazers in innovative service redesign, continuously benchmarking ourselves against the best eating disorders service models world-wide to ensure that the local people who approach us for help, receive evidence-based care, support and the real possibility that recovery is achievable and that people are no longer defined by their illness.

Woburn Golf Club

Woburn Abbey and the surrounding Estate provide a stunning backdrop and historical setting for Woburn Golf Club. Whilst the Club is quiet and secluded, it is centrally located just 10 minutes from Junction 13 off the M1, 15 minutes from Central Milton Keynes and just over an hour from London, Birmingham, Oxford and Cambridge. Home to the Duke's, Duchess and Marquess courses, Woburn was the first 54 hole venue to have all three courses featured in Golf Monthly Magazine's Top 100 Courses in the UK and Ireland and Golf World Magazine's Top 100 Courses in Britain and Ireland. Having hosted almost sixty professional tournaments it is the ideal venue for corporate, group or society golf days. In addition, Woburn also offers mid week green fee packages for individual golfers and parties of all sizes. Woburn Golf Club is extremely proud to have Ian Poulter as one of its Touring Professionals, a relationship which started in 2003. Charley Hull became a member of Woburn at the age of 11. Also members of Woburn Golf Club are Gary Boyd, John Kemp, Steve Lewton and Lauren Taylor, the 2011 Women's British Amateur Champion and winner of the 2011 'BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year'​, Ince Mehmet and Jamie Rutherford.
