Multiply North Yorkshire is a new government-funded programme to help you improve your numeracy skills. If you’re aged 19 and over and don’t have maths GCSE at grade C (or equivalent), you can access free numeracy courses through Multiply to build your confidence with numbers and gain a qualification. Good numeracy skills may unlock job opportunities and lead to higher wages or prepare you for further study. They also help in everyday life, such as helping children with homework and budgeting money. There are courses for beginners to more advanced courses such as GCSE Maths, Functional Skills Qualifications, or equivalent, so you will be able to learn at a pace that suits you.

Care Training Solutions was established in September 2003 as its founders believed there was a lack of support for Health and Social Care employers and candidates to gain a qualification. With the vision to deliver qualifications and associated courses to the highest standard in a flexible way that meet the needs of employer and candidate. This vision has been realised and Care Training Solutions have built a solid reputation based on quality and achievement mainly due to the commitment and hard work of the Care Training Solutions team.

FemEng - Glasgow University Female Engineering Society

FemEng is a network aimed at linking together females in the School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow. ​The group has a number of focuses including outreach work with schools, networking events with industry professionals, social activities and international collaborations. FemEng also successfully pioneered ‘FemEng in Rwanda’, the University’s first student-led learning project in collaboration with the University of Rwanda. This initiative brought together female engineering students at both universities with the common goal of encouraging more high school girls in Rwanda to pursue further education in the field of STEM. FemEng was started as a sub group within the Glasgow University Engineering Society by Ellen Simmons. The group has been strongly supported by Equate Scotland’s Interconnect Network and has gone from strength to strength since. In 2016, FemEng became formally affiliated with the Women’s Engineering Society and have established a fantastic collaborative relationship with the society since.

Centre for Enterprise & Entrepreneurship Studies

The Centre for Enterprise & Entrepreneurship Studies enables students and staff to develop enterprise skills so that they are equipped to make an impact as effective students, graduates, employees and employers. We support a number of leading organisations involved in enterprise education: Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE) Enterprise Educators UK (EEUK) National Consortium of University Entrepreneurs (NACUE) We provide practical support, materials and guidance to all those who are interested in gaining new skills and improving their enterprise background. The Leeds Enterprise Centre is available to all staff and students at the University of Leeds and our meeting space and computer facilities can all be booked for a mixture of uses... please contact us to find out more.
