Entrepreneurial Freelance Teachers
The BUSINESS of being a Freelance Teacher
What's the difference between a Freelance Teacher and an Entrepreneur?
None. Because a Freelance Teacher is an Entrepreneur who runs a small business.
The AIM:
Survive the deadly fate of a “3-year fade out†of your teaching service business by helping you to:
- Choose to earn a decent living from teaching (It’s your money and your job security.)
- Choose to become an entrepreneurial freelance teacher
An entrepreneurial freelance teacher means knowing how to maintain a strong business, find all the students you want to teach, and avoid under-earning by learning how to avoid under-pricing your services.
The BELIEF:
Teachers should be proud of what we manage to accomplish and not consider themselves as second-class servants of the community. It works both ways. Motivated teachers do fantastic jobs. A satisfied student is not going to talk about his education in such derogative tones. And the career of teachers (and their earnings) will rise in the esteem of society as a whole.
The HOW:
Most fledgling teaching services fail for just a few reasons:
- information overload
- too many choices (directions to go)
- lack of confidence
- sceptics in the family, friends, colleagues, etc.
(1) Weekly short articles or tips with tiny incremental "to do" or learning steps. Freelance teachers suffer chronic time-problems.
(2) Workshops and products
(3) The Forum "Teacher's Den" (my symbol for safety, care, and guidance) community.
The Entrepreneurial Freelance Teacher … is an Entrepreneur who runs a small business to solve problems of a specific person at a profit!
