Competition Motors had its genesis with its founder and owner, Donald Koleman, who has been an automotive enthusiast and car collector for many years. The company got underway in 1984 and initially provided restoration and rebuilding services for vintage cars. By 1989, Competition Motors had turned out a number of vintage cars which had success in vintage events, car rallies and concours. The company began to specialize in the restoration, service, sales and culture of Bugatti automobiles.
