CDS | criticaldesign.studio

CDS is an Istanbul based practice mainly focuses on urbanism and architecture. The studio is currently involved in numerous projects throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. CDS’s approach is simply a way of integrating the practice in human-centred design activities as a useful tool for people to critically think about possible futures. We believe the design has other possibilities beyond solving problems as we focus on not only its function but also present social, cultural, economical and ethical implications of design practice.

We agreed to serve in a wide range, from modern to traditional architecture, together with monumental building restoration, from conceptual to detailed design. We are definitely aware that, high quality, comfortable, aesthetic results, that adds value to the environment we are living in and also to us, passes through coordinated work with other disciplines as well as architectural design perfection. Our goal is; together with our team, which sticks to the universal vision principle, always taking a step forward in the work we are doing, without making any concession. Modern mimariden, geleneksel mimari ve anıt eser restorasyonuna geniş bir yelpazede, tasarımdan uygulama sonuna kadar her aşamada hizmet vermekteyiz. Mimari alanda yaptığımız çalışmalarda; yaşadığımız çevreye ve dolayısıyla bizlere değer katacak, kaliteli, konforlu ve estetik sonuçlara ulaşabilmenin mimari proje mükemmelliğinin yanı sıra diğer disiplinlerle koordineli çalışma sonucunda elde edilebileceği bilincindeyiz. Hedefimiz, kaliteden ödün vermeksizin, evrensel dünya görüşünü prensip edinen ekibimizle yürütmekte olduğumuz çalışmaların bizleri bulunduğumuz noktadan hep bir adım daha öteye taşımasını sağlamaktır.
