RedZebra Foundation
Established in 2011, RZF uses the performing arts and creative dialogue facilitation to inspire young people in South Africa to make positive choices for their lives and community.
Our mission is to foster youth empowerment by:
Ensuring all our activities operate on the fundamental principle of "inclusivity", respect for diversity and abilities, and working towards a community free of discrimination based on gender, race, class, ability, sexual orientation, religion, age, or other areas of injustice.
Utilizing the performing arts through drumming, dance, drama and dialogue, RZF is creating new and innovative ways to engage with youth in South Africa.
We collaborate with other organisations and awareness campaigns to address issues that negatively impact our youth, providing awareness and training focusing on the following areas:
◾Life skills
◾Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights ( SRHR including HIV/AIDS)
◾Cultural Diversity & Tolerance
◾Disability
◾The Environment, Sustainable Livelihoods and Climate Change
RZF designs and implements workshops , training, capacity building, and youth programmes. "We Can Beat It!" being the RZF's main campaign in South Africa 2014.
Our main target group is youth between 12 and 20 years old, in and out of school.
We have also worked in South Africa and internationally as a partner and service provider. We have designed and implemented campaigns and trainings in over 15 countries over 20 years.
