At a time when the astronomical costs of developing & maintaining online catalogs were out of reach for most small- to mid-sized organizations, Catalog Systems provided affordable, e-commerce solutions for smaller mail order companies wishing to offer their products online.
Company officers Steve Dahl, Stacey Strawn, and Shawn Straining each brought their own unique set of skills & experience to the mix. Steve & Shawn provided technical expertise and support for Steve’s custom shopping cart & database programming. Stacey utilized her communication skills to write keyword-rich, quality content while providing leadership and management for the fast-growing company.
Together, our team built a solid client base one company at a time, providing a complete package of services and a reliable custom-built e-commerce platform for mail order catalog companies. Our extensive range of services provided included systems administration, keyword and ROI analysis, database management, e-mail marketing and content management - all of this when SEO and page rank were a mystery to all but an elite few.
As technology improved and "do it yourself"​ e-commerce platforms like Yahoo Stores and Miva Merchant emerged, Catalog Systems looked inward for inspiration. Utilizing their years of expertise, the team built their own e-commerce sites, and changed the direction of the company to build and operate a trio of busy e-commerce websites: SilverGallery.com, BrassGallery.com & AnnaleeGallery.com.
Today, nearly two decades later, Catalog Systems continues to change and grow. Steve Dahl has moved on to explore new opportunities with his own venture, Ellington Direct. Shawn Straining operates a retail business under the Jiggy.com brand. Stacey Strawn remains at the helm as President and CEO of Catalog Systems, where she continues the company legacy of cutting edge e-tail with the development of new brands and private label opportunities in the global market.
