The Center for Research in Molecular Medicine and Chronic Diseases (CiMUS) promotes the development of interdisciplinary research in the field of biomedical sciences, through the interaction and collaboration of integrated teams in the center, and with relevant national and international groups. The research developed at CiMUS comprises three research areas: Precision Medicine, Basic Mechanisms of disease and New Medicines. Currently, there are 32 researchers selected in CiMUS but it has room for 250 who will be hired in the medium term through Campus Vida's strategic talent attraction program. The Center is a new building, with 12,945 m2 of floor space and 22 research laboratories. The laboratories of the CiMUS have been designed with flexibility, security and sustainability in mind and have the most modern technology for research support, in order to ensure their researchers the best quality results.
