Building Assets is a global non-profit volunteer organization that develops viable solutions to reduce and mitigate conflict and the resulting dependencies by working to create self-reliant communities. We believe the evidence is clear that the most effective way to help build peace is through the provision of education and skills development for girls. We strongly believe in this commitment – that a girls' education is the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of war and poverty. We work with our local partners to provide viable solutions with a focus on gender equality, justice and peace. A girl living in a conflict-affected area is 90 % more likely to be out of secondary school than her counterparts living in areas without unrest. Building Assets will work with local partners to provide safe and peaceful environments for young girl children to affected by conflict to study and learn beyond primary school. By providing a safe environment from primary to high school young girl children are less vulnerable to trafficking, sexual violence, or forced into early marriages. We believe that by contributing to their education by improving access through building schools, improving the quality of education through teacher training, vocational skills training, legal protection and psychosocial support and policy intervention we can improve student learning outcomes through gender-based programming. Building Assets will work with local groups and international organizations who will look at the impact of conflict through a gender lens in order to inform the development of more gender-sensitive and focused policies and programs that can help level the plying field ( hence the name ' Building Assets '), particularly through education. By providing access to education for these young girls at an early stage we can lay the foundation for a brighter future for the countries of SE Asia, and begin to prepare these young students to be the country's next future leaders.

We Put Faith Into Action Our mission is seeking to put God's love into action; Habitat brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Habitat for Humanity of Miami and Shelby Counties, OH is a faith-based organization that envisions Miami and Shelby Counties as a place where every resident has access to quality and affordable homeownership opportunities. We seek to build self-sufficiency for residents in need through the life-changing opportunity of homeownership. We want to see vibrant neighborhoods where engaged homeowners participate in building safe and healthy communities. Habitat for Humanity of Miami and Shelby Counties, OH defines "need" as someone earning 30-50% of the average median income (AMI) for the Miami and Shelby County area. That equates to roughly a $18,050 annual income for a family of four at 30% AMI. Habitat for Humanity of Miami and Shelby Counties, OH relies on Individuals, Churches, Corporations, and Foundations to provide the financial and in-kind resources necessary to construct or rehabilitate the homes. Annually, HFHMSCO also relies on hundreds of volunteers that provide the labor to construct and rehab the homes. All this allows HFHMSCO to provide monthly mortgage rates around $300 – $500.

Founded in 1998 as a project of the Independent Sector, the Center for Lobbying in the Public Interest (CLPI) is now a national, nonprofit organization that helps charitable organizations increase their effectiveness and impact through advocacy. Civic participation is the essence of democracy, and nonprofit organizations are one of the most effective vehicles for engaging people in the democratic process. CLPI trains nonprofits and promotes increased advocacy within the nonprofit and philanthropy sector in order to create systemic change on the critical issues of our day. Mission: The Center for Lobbying in the Public Interest (CLPI) promotes, supports and protects 501(c)(3) nonprofit advocacy and lobbying in order to strengthen participation in our democratic society and advance the missions of charitable organizations. Goals: CLPI's goals are to: * Promote increased nonprofit advocacy by acting as a catalyst for change within the nonprofit and philanthropy sector. * Support increased civic participation by nonprofits and their constituents through education, training and technical assistance. * Protect and expand nonprofit advocacy rights to facilitate civic engagement by nonprofits and their constituents.
