Greek's Pizzeria® History Founder: Athanasios Chris Karamesines Greek's Pizzeria is a franchise business owned by franchiser Athanasios Chris Karamesines. It was through his vision that he established his first pizzeria in 1969 when he was only 17 years old. Karamesines had worked in every pizza franchise in the United States and knew what they were using in their recipes; he learned the pizza trade from the crust up. The longevity of his business comes from using fresh vegetables, all milk cheese instead of skim milk cheese and cooking it all on Neapolitan, hand tossed dough that is made fresh daily. Greek's Pizzeria uses an enclosed or open kitchen concept, using wood or gas-fired ovens. Full service dining, carry-out and free delivery service is available. Specialties include gourmet pizzas, garlic butter breadsticks, pizza shells (calzones), pastas and subs. Greek's Pizzeria offers a relaxed atmosphere with personalized attention and excellent customer service as well as excellent food quality.

Joining a variety of skill sets, our Operations Department ensures that every event will run as flawlessly as possible. We are committed to building dynamic a community of healthy individuals, sustainable local food systems, and thriving cooperative commerce. Hunger Mountain Co-op currently has over 8,000 Member-Owners, carries over 2,000 local products, and employs 165 employees all earning at least the Vermont Livable Wage. Our Co-op is also proudly one of three state designated Vermont Green Grocery Environmental Leaders and a recent recipient of a Sustainability Star from National Co+op Grocers. Contributing to our community is a core value at Hunger Mountain Co-op. Our Co-op hosts year-round community workshops and events and also supports area schools, local projects, nonprofits, and initiatives that align with the co-op's mission.
