The Gabelli Gen AI Startup Incubator teaches students how to build capabilities leveraging artificial intelligence to redefine how early-career talent connects with job opportunities. Our focus is on developing intelligent, AI-enabled tools that streamline career enablement, enhances candidate engagement, and equips college students with the tools necessary to standout in an increasingly competitive workforce. Grounded in a deep understanding of the future of work and developed in collaboration with Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business Personal and Professional Development (PPD) team, our initiatives reflect a commitment to meaningful innovation. These include an AI-powered SMS communication platform designed to deliver time-sensitive campus and career updates, a next-generation resume builder and more. In 2024, the team successfully created tools such as ATS keyword extraction from job descriptions, a bullet point writer and a cover letter writer. Our team is dedicated to continuing to strengthen these tools. Through rigorous competitive research, user discovery, and structured iteration, our team is identifying key student challenges and translating them into viable digital solutions. This work exemplifies our broader mission to bridge education and enterprise, empowering the next generation of leaders to design, implement, and scale technologies that shape the future of talent development and workforce strategy.

Research Foundation of The City University of New York

The Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY) was established as a private, not-for-profit educational corporation chartered by the State of New York on January 24, 1963. For 55 years, RFCUNY has supported CUNY faculty and staff in identifying and obtaining external support (pre-award) from government and private sponsors and is responsible for the administration of all such funded programs (post-award).

CAEL was founded to help organizations succeed by providing expertise, resources, and solutions that effectively support adult learners as they navigate on- and off-ramps between education and employment. We partner with entities across the adult learner ecosystem to help create actionable career pathways along the journey of lifelong learning and meaningful work. Our Vision Every adult can navigate lifelong learning and career pathways that fuel social mobility and community prosperity. Our Mission CAEL engages with educators, employers, and community leaders to align learning and work so that adults achieve academic and career success and their communities benefit from broad economic growth. Our History CAEL was founded in 1974 on the principle that adult learners should be met where they are and that their experience in getting there can create college-level learning. It may be hard to imagine today, but at the time, adult learners were on the sidelines of postsecondary education. Largely overlooked within the “first time, full time” mindset that prevailed then, they were expected to fit their schedules around what higher ed had to offer, not the other way around. As CAEL led a paradigm shift toward recognized learning and became a catalyst for increasing the quality of postsecondary education for all students. To complement its pioneering work to support adult learners and learning recognition, in the 1990s CAEL expanded its mission to include workforce development and the mutually beneficial links between curricula and careers that are so vital to the success of learners and the communities they live and work in. Through collaboration with educators, employers, and community leaders, CAEL’s nonprofit mission has become a national movement. Today, CAEL supports adult learner success at at more than 300 postsecondary institutions, employers, and government agencies in the U.S. and abroad.

With over a 75-year history, DECA has impacted the lives of more than ten million students, educators, school administrators and business professionals since it was founded in 1946. Their strong connection with our organization has resonated into a brand that people identify as a remarkable experience in the preparation of emerging leaders and entrepreneurs. DECA’s programs and activities have constantly evolved as we use the latest technology and apply cutting edge educational research. Our core focus has remained consistent and is captured in our mission. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. DECA is organized into two unique student divisions each with programs designed to address the learning styles, interest and focus of its members. The High School Division includes more than 250,000 members in 3,900 schools. The Collegiate Division (formerly known as Delta Epsilon Chi) includes over 4,000 members in over 180 colleges and universities.
