Innovations for Peace and Development

Innovations for Peace and Development (IPD) was established in January 2013 to produce and disseminate rigorous, policy relevant research to promote innovations in global peace and development. UT students are at the heart of our work, and thus our mission is also to provide research, internship and fellowship opportunities for undergraduates and graduate students from across UT to empower them to engage in scholarship and practice that will make a real difference in the world. We also work directly with international organizations, developing country governments, universities and civil society groups to generate and test new ideas that will change the way peace and development are pursued, evaluated and sustained.

DTU Aqua

National Institute of Aquatic Resources, DTU Aqua, is an institute at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). DTU Aqua conducts research, provides advice, educates at university level and contributes to innovation in sustainable exploitation and management of aquatic resources. The institute investigates the biology and population ecology of aquatic organism, aquatic physics and chemical processes, ecosystem structure and dynamics, taking account of all relevant natural and anthropogenic drivers. The vision of DTU Aqua is to enable ecologically and economically sustainable exploitation of aquatic resources applying an integrated ecosystem approach which utilizes synergies in natural and technical science disciplines. DTU Aqua’s research is divided into the following fields: Oceanography and Climate Marine Populations and Ecosystem Dynamics Coastal Ecology Freshwater Fisheries and Ecology Shellfish Aquaculture and Fisheries Individual Biology Population Genetics Fisheries Technology Observation Technology Marine Living Resources Fisheries Management Ecosystem based Marine Management Aquaculture DTU Aqua advises the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries and other public authorities, the commercial fisheries, the aquaculture industry and international commissions. DTU’s masters programme in Aquatic Science and Technology is coordinated by DTU Aqua – in collaboration with Department of Biology at University of Copenhagen DTU Aqua has about 270 employees, of whom a third are scientific staff. The other employees are assistant biologists, laboratory technicians, administrative staff, ship’s crew, student assistants etc. DTU Aqua has employees in Charlottenlund near Copenhagen, in Silkeborg, Hirtshals and Nykøbing Mors in Jutland as well as on R/V Dana, Denmark's largest research vessel, which has it's home port in Hirtshals, Jutland.

Belgische Vereniging voor Paleontologie

The Belgian Paleontological Association (BVP) (Dutch: Belgische Vereniging voor Paleontologie vzw. French: L’association Belge de Paléontologie) Is a scientific organisation which was founded in the Antwerp area in 1977 by both professional and amateur paleontologists. The main goal of the Belgian Paleontological Association is to encourage and popularize paleontological research in Belgium. The association has around 250 members throughout Europe. Mission The main mission of the Belgian Paleontological Association is to popularize paleontology in Belgium, and at the same time contribute to paleontological research. By proposing a very diverse program of lectures and excursions and projects the association wishes to encourage anyone who is fascinated by earth sciences to contribute to scientific research through "citizen science"​. On the other hand the association also tries to create a forum where professional and academic paleontologists can present their research to the general public.

Center for Sustainable Infrastructure Development (CSID) Universitas Indonesia

Responding to the needs of infrastructure development in Indonesia, the Center for Sustainable Infrastructure Development (CSID) is established at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia. The center was initiated by scholars and professionals that focusing on Indonesian infrastructure development in Integrated Design and Technology (IDTech) Research Group. Since 2008, the research group has continuously received research grants from the Ministry of Education and the University of Indonesia. Additional funding sources include, but are not limited to, the Ministry of Transportation, House of Representatives, and AusAid. In the midst of 2014, the CSID is established to be the forefront of infrastructure research organization in Indonesia.

DTU Wind Energy

DTU Wind Energy is the world’s largest public research institute for wind energy. The department counts 250 staff members from 38 countries with a strong portfolio of national and international research projects. The department is internationally recognized as being in the forefront of wind energy technology and has provided a major part of the wind energy research in Denmark.
