Q&A:
Can I get fibre?
If you are in Christchurch, Lincoln, Rolleston, Rangiora or Kaiapoi then yes, you can get sinch fibre though we would have to check with Enable to confirm your street has fibre available.
What about ADSL (traditional broadband) or VDSL?

You say you load faster - surely all plans are the same?
Very astute of you to pick up on this and I'm so glad you asked. Unfortunately not all plans are the same, the speed quoted for a connection is the maximum speed available from the local exchange to your house. However, from then on things get a bit more complex and you may hear people talk about contention ratios. Put simply it means you are sharing a connection with other people and like a motorway at rush hour the maximum speed might be 100 km/h but in reality you will get nowhere near that speed. At sinch, we operate a lower contention ratio than other players so you don't get the same bottlenecks. In fact in a recent test our VDSL service outperformed a 100MB fibre connection from the big boys when accessing US based sites (those ending in .com)
Hmmm, when I call will I get one of those call centres where they don't know anything?

What do I have to do to sign up?
