ImpACT on Stage

ImpACT on Stage is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to promote and enact social change through the use of live theater, by students, for students. Through a variety of programs battling such issues as bullying, consent and sexual violence, al- cohol and drug abuse, and workplace discrimination, we hope to make an impact in the lives of stu- dents around the world. Each program includes a year-long curriculum, tied to the Common Core standards, that covers the terminology used in the live performances and begins to establish the scope and scale of each is- sue. We provide students with fun resources that are both informational and accessible, while teach- ers receive specific lesson-plans covering ways to have meaningful and successful conversations with students about these issues. The impACT on Stage actors will provide an interactive, in-your-face performance that questions students' awareness of these issues and challenges them to act as "UpStanders," not just "ByStand- ers." Each performance concludes with actors providing concrete tools the students can use to re- solve dangerous situations safely and peacefully. The post-performance curriculum we provide ensures that students are given the opportunity to discuss and digest the presentation. Working with school counselors and administrators, we provide resources for students to reach out for further help should that become necessary.

Dolce Music Academy

Non-profit music school dedicated to sharing the joy of making music with the community by providing the highest quality musical education to students, parents and teachers, utilizing the educational philosophy of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki. Part of the Community Arts program at Christ Church Sugar Land in Sugar Land, Texas.

Contemporary Dance Studio

Mission Statement: Contemporary Dance Studio strives to support and enhance the lives of our students and to better our community. We use modern facilities and philosophies to teach dance, encourage creativity, promote physical fitness and build self esteem. We will support our community by providing artistic enrichment and meeting charitable community needs. About Us: Jessica Jensen is a highly trained instructor with a Bachelor of Arts degree in dance from UNLV. She has accumulated knowledge throughout the U.S. and abroad. Jessica's teaching style and methods are contemporary and enjoyable. Students will benefit both physically and mentally as they learn to dance in a positive environment. Students are taught technique and performance skills while they are encouraged to reach their greatest potential. They will improve their coordination, flexibility and self-esteem- all while they are having fun! Our facilities feature two large teaching studios with Marley dance surfaces, high ceilings, full-length mirrors, "state of the art" sound systems, and viewing windows for parent observation. Our raised, "floating" dance floors helps reduce fatigue and prevent injuries.
