Chartered as Topeka Teachers Credit Union in 1939 by a group of educators, ECU started with just 39 members and $144 in total assets and offered only savings accounts and small loans. Today, ECU boast over 20,000 members, over $180 million in total assets, and offers everything from checking and savings to auto, signature, and home loans, business services, insurance products, and online and mobile conveniences.
