CTN's mission is to promote advanced information technologies and services to improve access to high quality healthcare focusing on medically underserved and rural Californians. CTN will connect over 800 California healthcare providers in underserved areas to a state- and nation-wide broadband network dedicated to healthcare. CAPE - Center for Advanced Pediatric and Perinatal Education

Our Vision A healthcare system where simulation-based training and research are integral components. Our Mission To innovate, validate and disseminate simulation-based training and research programs that improve the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of patient care worldwide. About Us CAPE is the world’s first simulation-based training and research center dedicated to the fetal, neonatal, pediatric and obstetric sciences. CAPE opened its doors in November 2002, thanks to a generous gift from an anonymous donor. A part of Stanford Medicine, CAPE's training programs are greatly enriched by a close connection with Stanford Children's Health and a shared commitment to state-of-the-art patient care and the training that makes that possible. Many of the healthcare professionals who teach at CAPE also care for patients within Stanford Children's Health and serve on the faculty of the Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Louis Halamek, CAPE's Director, founded CAPE on the principle that rigorous training and objective assessment will produce optimal human performance. His inspiration comes from his work with NASA and their many decades of experience in training human beings to function in high-risk environments. Dr. Halamek is a neonatologist at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics at Stanford University. He has over twenty years of experience in simulation-based training and research. Today, CAPE offers multiple training programs to novices and experts alike and is the site of clinically relevant research. The goal of every CAPE training and research program is to improve the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of patient care. If we're still the only dedicated pediatric training center in 10 years, then we will have failed.

CarePRN

CarePRN is a trusted digital marketplace providing on-demand access to certified in-home care. As a facilitated marketplace, CarePRN will pair local, certified, background-checked nursing assistants and home health aides with families than need immediate short-term care. With no long-term contracts CarePRN allows families to personalize the care their loved ones receive. The marketplace platform will allow family caregivers to purchase on-demand care depending on their needs. In particular, our customer discovery of >100 in-person interviews indicates that on-demand care will help to ease the burden experienced by family caregivers when caring for their loved ones. Moreover, CarePRN will provide a tailored matchmaking service to best pair patient and provider. Families will be able to review the professional caregiver profiles, communicate, and pay through the CarePRN marketplace application. CarePRN offers a higher wage for healthcare workers compared to the current market and will likely be highly competitive once launched.
