Blida 1 Saad Dahlab University
The University Center of Blida (CUB) was established by Decree No. 77-92 of 20 June 1977 . established on a retroceded site, dating from 1864 , the CUB has also benefited from a program of development and extension of educational infrastructure (amphitheater, laboratory etc ...).
It was not until September 08, 1981 , that the CUB opened its doors to students from the wilayates of Blida, Media, Chlef, Djelfa and the South of the country .
For this historic year, the number of students enrolled was 526 , for a teaching staff of 57, including 17 foreigners.
The University of Blida has undergone a rapid development that could be divided into three major phases corresponding essentially to the different stages of structuring and management:
Ø First step: September 1981 to December 1984
Ø Second stage: January 1985 to August 1989
Ø Third stage: August 1989 to December 1998
Ø Fourth stage: December 1998 to the present day
First stage :
During the first three years of its existence, the University Center of Blida is located in the middle of the city and ensured the teaching in only four sectors:
Common Core of Technology
Architecture
Agronomy
Medical Sciences
Second step:
In 1984-1985 , the period of the application of the university card, saw the bursting of the CUB in National Institute of Higher Education.
Decree No. 83-543 of 24 September 1983 , in its articles 2 and 4 chapter I states: "The National Institute of Higher Education, hereinafter referred to as" the institute is a public institution of an administrative nature , with moral personality and financial autonomy. "The objectives of the Institute are, within the framework of the National Economic and Social Development Plan:
Ensuring graduation and post-graduation teaching
Contribute to the development of scientific and technical research.
