Tiny Boat is a little community arts space in Islington: Newcastle upon Australia opened by Lu Quade at the end of 2016. It is part zine shop, part art studio, part meeting place. It is situated within a bigger building called Softys - and together with Softys we have organised BIG musical events, movie nights, fundraisers, art exhibitions and more. As an extension of these activities Lu also runs creative writing and art workshops in local primary schools and other community spaces, and has recently been interacting with local organisations 'octopod' and 'ability links' to deliver workshops about inclusivity and diversity to local schools.

Blount Mansion Association

Blount Mansion is owned and operated by the Blount Mansion Association, Inc., a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to preserving the Blount Mansion, built in 1792, and inspiring an appreciation of national, state, and local history through the site and the lives of those who lived and worked there. Blount Mansion was the home and capitol of the first and only governor of the Southwest Territory, William Blount, his family, and his slaves. Blount was a signer of the U.S. Constitution and played a pivotal role in Tennessee becoming the sixteenth state.
