CleanPower AS
CleanPower has developed the Turbinator®, an axial flow turbine with integrated generator. Is particularly well suited for producing turbinating environmental flows / eco-flows, but can also be an excellent choice for other applications such as irrigation systems, industrial energy recovery, water utilities etc. The Turbinator is compact and easy to install, has a fully sealed generator cooled by the water flow and can many cases be installed without a power house – bringing down the total installation costs.
Technical description
- Axial flow semi regulated Kaplan turbine with fixed runner wheel pitch and adjustable guide vane.
- Integrated with a direct drive synchronous permanent magnetized generator (PMG)
- Assembled in a compact unit with only one rotating part
- A robust and cost efficient alternative to a traditional full regulated Kaplan installation
- The PMG technology gives a compact unit with high energy density and small footprint
- The sealed unit will often not need a protecting power house
The CleanPower Eco-flow solution adds full flow management while producing energy:
- Stable flow with varying head
- Calendar-driven flow with automatic management of multiple seasonal flow regimes)
- Bypass ensures flow during power outage etc.
- Compact, easy to install and remote operated
