Pitroda Art Pitroda Art is a social enterprise which promotes global contemporary art through curated collections. Our new initiative MOVEMENT: Art for Social Change will feature quarterly curated art collections that explore pressing social issues around the world. MOVEMENT celebrates artists as champions of change; fearless in provocation; and vital to social movements. Artists have the ability to inspire people to see, think and act - that's why we seek to promote the transformative power of creative expression. Each MOVEMENT Art Collection will kick-off with a Global Call-for-Entries, inviting artists to submit their work on a thematic issue. A panel of expert judges will curate the showcase and select the artwork that will comprise the final Collection. These Collections will be available exclusively on our online gallery and promoted internationally. The proceeds from the sales of these works of art will be donated to the cause that it is supporting. But it doesn't end there. The artwork will also be exhibited as public art installations, projected on iconic buildings around the world. We hope to mobilize impact, spark conversation and celebrate the arts as a vehicle for social change.

Bert Gallery

Bert Gallery, Inc was founded in 1985 by Hugo Bert and Catherine Little Bert to showcase and preserve the rich art tradition of Rhode Island. Located in the Providence Biltmore Hotel in downtown for seven years, the gallery re-located in 1992 to its present location along the historic Old Harbor waterfront at 540 South Water Street. With the move, Catherine Little Bert became sole proprietor. The gallery expanded its exhibition schedule to include regional contemporary artists along with launching a series of exhibitions of 19th century Rhode Island artists. Keeping to the mission of researching, showcasing and preserving paintings from the region, Catherine has organized over fifty exhibits dedicated to trends and styles embraced by New England artists. These efforts continue with a dedicated exhibition space, the Studio Collection, which offers visitors an opportunity to view the historic inventory and the artists' estates managed by the gallery.
