Baraka for Sustainable Tourism

BARAKA is a sustainable tourism development company delivering consulting services in Jordan and around the world. BARAKA also operates Baraka Destinations, a cluster of community owned, locally embedded tourism experiences in secondary tourism destinations including two bed and breakfasts that offer a unique taste and experience of Jordan’s villages. Led by a team of local and international professionals, BARAKA promotes a form of sustainable tourism that stimulates economic growth while conserving and protecting cultural heritage and natural resources. Established in 2012, BARAKA has worked with a variety of clients in seven countries to deliver services in ecotourism, community-based tourism, and adventure tourism; tourism project lifecycle, including tourism audits, site development strategies, social impact assessments, marketing, and tourism experience development; and capacity building and certified training. BARAKA’s clients include the World Bank, European Union, United Nations Development Project, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, United States Agency for International Development, the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature, EcoHotels and the Feynan Ecolodge, Airbnb, Planeterra, and Tourism Cares.
