Què és? El Col·legi de Biòlegs de Catalunya (CBC) és una corporació de dret públic que estableix el punt de trobada dels professionals de la Biologia i és d'adscripció obligatòria per exercir la professió. Què fa? És una institució que s'adapta als nous temps per poder oferir als seus col·legiats la formació, l'assessorament i els serveis que necessiten per desenvolupar la seva professió avui dia. Protegir i representar la professió i els interessos professionals dels col·legiats, davant de l'administració i de la societat. Adequar la professió a les necessitats de la societat. Qui ho composa? Poden ser membres del CBC tots els llicenciats en Biologia, i aquells titulats en graus oficials que acreditin un tronc comú substancial amb el grau de biologia (graduats/llicenciats en Biologia Ambiental, Biologia Humana, Bioquímica, Biotecnologia, Biomedicina, Ciències del Mar, Genètica, Microbiologia, etc.. que vulguin exercir la professió donat que la col·legiació és obligatòria per exercir com a tal, a excepció dels funcionaris públics i altre personal que, en virtut del seu contracte laboral, presti els seus serveis en les administracions públiques. També els estudiants dels citats graus es poden pre-col·legiar durant els últims anys dels seus estudis per gaudir dels serveis del Col·legi.
