Reproductive Freedom for All is powered by our more than 4 million members from every state and congressional district in the country, representing the 8 in 10 Americans who support legal abortion.

Environment Maine

Environment Maine is a citizen-based environmental advocacy project of Environment America. We believe there’s so much that is special about Maine that needs to be protected and preserved for future generations. Whether it’s kayaking along Acadia’s rocky coastline, canoeing on the Allagash or hiking Mount Katahdin, Maine’s natural wonders enrich our lives in countless ways. Yet the places we love and the environmental values that so many of us share are too often threatened by powerful industries, shortsighted politicians and more. Defending our environment requires independent research, tough-minded advocacy and spirited grassroots action. That’s the idea behind Environment Maine. Together with thousands of our supporters from all walks of life, we take the kind of action that wins tangible results for our environment. Funded by supporters like you, we research the challenges confronting our environment and educate the public about what’s at stake. Through our research reports, news conferences, interviews with reporters, op-eds, letters to the editor, and more, we raise awareness of environmental issues and advance sensible solutions. Our canvassers meet people where they are — in public places or at their door — raising awareness, recruiting supporters and activists, and raising funds to support our work. When decisions are being made about our environment, our elected officials hear plenty from big developers, oil companies and other powerful interests. We make the case for our environment and help people like you make your voice heard, through lobbying, testimony, petitions, emails, phone calls and more, all delivered to the right people when it matters most.

We build training and tools to grow our collective, progressive power. In partnership with movement allies, we employ innovative digital strategies and empower voters.

AFSCME Local 3299

AFSCME (American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees) Local 3299 is a dynamic labor union dedicated to fighting for workers'​ rights while strengthening its membership. Local 3299 represents 20,000 University of California workers at the ten campuses and five medical centers. Workers represented include custodians, food service workers, cooks, bus drivers, licensed vocational nurses, nursing assistants, medical assistants and techs. We are a democratic, member run union that believes in teaching workers how to use collective action to solve problems and gain power at work.
