High precision and quality is achieved through the utilization of modern technology. Furthermore, the firm owns the quarry of "Gortynis Grey" that exists on the island of Crete in Greece. A unique marble because of its Silver Grey colour which is greatly used in modern architecture. In addition, due to its physical and mechanincal properties it posseses quite strong advantages. Briefly, as officially analysed in laboratory examination: 1. It has a very low water absorption which makes it absolutely suitable for outdoor projects especially in cold environments because it is FROST FREE. There is no hymidity witheld inside the marble to expand below -4oC. As a result it does not break in very low temparatures. 2. Durable. After 48 freeze-thaw cycles it does not lose anything of its strength. 3. Crystalline structure. It is heterogeneous allowing the better defusing of natural tensions without affecting the shape of the marble. It is due to this characteristic that Gortynis appears NO bowing effects making ideal for wall covering of buildings. 4. Quality. Solid and strong by nature, it does not need any resin or epoxy to keep it solid. 5. Pattern. There are no stripes on its pattern which allows cutting from all sides thus minimizing the cost of waste during processing.
