BioBag World Australia offers compostable alternatives to plastic bags that break down anywhere oxygen and microorganisms are present, including on land and in water, with no microplastics or toxic residues. Australian manufacturing of BioBags commenced in Adelaide in March 2018. The Mater-Bi resin used to make the BioBag range is subject to ongoing product development in Italy by Novamont. Unlike regular plastic, BioBags can be consumed by microorganisms that live in our soils, oceans and waterways. Our product range includes bin liners from 8 to 240 litres, dog waste bags, produce bags and a range of compostable films suitable for other applications. Using a BioBag to collect organic waste has been proven to increase diversion of food waste from landfill to compost via kerbside green organics recycling bins.
