Creative Tampa Bay serves as a catalyst for economic and social development in the region by promoting principles of the creative economy and support our creative industries. Our goal is to serve as a connector of people, ideas, experiences and places. We believe that business, economic development, arts/culture, social and environmental principles must work together to create vibrant, sustainable communities.

Freelance Artist/Writer

Primarily, Melissa works in sculpture and drawing. Her work ranges from photo-realistic to extremely abstract. Many of her pieces, however, have a flavor of surrealism. These works are often thought up spontaneously and sculpted from clay or drawn on paper, usually manifesting as fantastic or impossible creatures or objects. Melissa also works by commission. Her most popular commissions are charcoal drawings, which she creates from photos given to her by clients. Using these photos as a guideline, Melissa creates photo-realistic drawings that are, most often, of extreme sentimental importance for the people who request them. Other types of commissions she has worked on include sculptures for local businesses, logo design, custom framing, web building/design, pottery, custom paintings, and photography and photo editing. She continues to develop her art and to explore new mediums as creative outlets. As a result, her work continues to evolve with new pieces and in new directions.

By Night Gallery I Art & Management

By Night Gallery, the brainchild of art collectors, is a living space and exhibition venue in a loft in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. The Eiffel style building that houses it was formerly a famous artist's studio. It offers the visitor a quiet setting and the leisure to discover and get to know an artist’s work. By Night Gallery represents international artists from the legacy of writing and graffiti, to the most contemporary forms of creation. The program promotes a dialogue between urban and contemporary art including very established names, mid-career artists and emerging young talents. Active in both the primary and secondary markets, By Night Gallery’s role extends to curatorial work and as an advisor to private and corporate collections.

Artist and Photographer. Pencil, watercolor, acylic, pastel, pen and ink, digital art, and mixed media. Subjects I like to work with is life drawing, portriats people and animals, and landscapes. I also photograph nature, people, and animals. I use many of the scenes as references for my work. When working with clients I prefer to use my own photographs but will work from other photographs that clients send me.
