ConveyUX is the user experience conference hosted by Blink UX. Join us February 27-29 for our 12th annual event. Since 2013, ConveyUX has gathered designers, researchers, strategists, product managers, and more to learn the latest about what's going on in the world of user experience. We will be meeting in-person in Seattle and including a virtual experience for participants from around the world.

341 Interiors

Margaret credits her love of interior design to her immersion in the design, color and textiles of the diverse cultures and bustling marketplaces she experienced while living and traveling abroad throughout her entire life. Her participation in local workshops have helped to develop Margaret’s appreciation for fine craftsmanship and detail. After completing her degree in Marketing and Finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, Margaret chose a career in marketing and sales before returning to school to study architecture and design. In 1999, after earning her Certificate of Interior Design she opened her first design studio, Barakat Designs, a full-service residential interior design and consulting firm. Throughout her career, Margaret has worked with architects and subcontractors to create beautiful interior and exterior spaces for families all over New England. Remodeling and design projects range from apartment size dwellings of 1,000 sq.ft. to expansive family homes of 10,000 sq.ft. In 2004 Margaret was a finalist in Boston’s Living Luxury Award, for the work and style she created in her own home. In 2008, Margaret expanded her business to include commercial projects working with architectural and design firms to consult with designers on cost-saving solutions during the economic recession. In 2016 Margaret decided to re-name her design studio to 341 Interiors, in honor of her great-grandmother’s home that had been in the family for generations. She works all over New England, and loves to discover new places and areas to showcase her work. Margaret strives to create a home that revolves around you and has always shared her belief that her greatest priority is designing a home to complement your lifestyle.
